Textiles workshop and wine tasting at Powys border vineyard

Kerry Vale Vineyard, on the Shropshire/Powys border near Montgomery, is hosting a textile workshop run by local teacher Janet Lees on Saturday, November 14.

Janet will host the five-hour workshop between 10am and 3pm with the theme of ‘making gifts with a personal touch’. The workshop costs £55 per person and includes all materials, lunch with a glass of Kerry Vale’s award winning wine and a mini wine tasting.

Those involved will learn how to applique letters and motifs onto fabric, embellish with buttons, beads, ribbon and lace and turn their work of art into a usable item. They will be shown how to make a wine or general purpose gift bag, lined and zipped pouch, cushion or tote bag.

The workshop is suitable for anyone that can operate a sewing machine at a basic level. Please visit http://www.kerryvalevineyard.co.uk/events or call 01588620627 to book.

Kerry Vale Vineyard is a small, family run vineyard situated on the rural Shropshire border with Wales. Planted in 2010, the vineyard covers six acres of farmland and resides at the eastern tip of the Vale of Kerry.
